# Perfect Polyhedral Perches Pyramid Seating Offers a Beautiful Balance as a Stool and Storage Space By Amelia Roblin | Published 2014-04-03 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pyramid-seating References: [christianlo](http://www.christianlo.com/work/) Looking at the Pyramid Seating & Storage system, you may not find that its function is immediately obvious. This geometric movable does not take the form of your common stool, nor of your typical trunk; Christian Lo has designed it to transcend these ordinary objects with a dual-functioning furnishing that's infused with a bit of magic. Inspired by the Pyramids of Giza, this enchanting object comprises a transparent acrylic foundation that reflects the form of the four-sided polyhedron on top. This upper portion is made from wood, it points downwards and it offers a removable square panel to provide access to its hollow inside. Designed to bring positive energy to the home, the Pyramid Seating & Storage system is a marvellous place to rest and store your treasures. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.0/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 9% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Dual-functioning Furnishings:** Opportunity for creating furniture that serves multiple purposes and transcends ordinary objects like stools and trunks. - **Geometric Design:** Opportunity for using geometric shapes and patterns in furniture design to create visually appealing and unique pieces. - **Transparent Acrylic Foundations:** Opportunity for incorporating transparent materials like acrylic to add a touch of modernity and elegance to furniture designs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Design:** Innovations in creating versatile and multi-functional furniture pieces. - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for incorporating geometric designs and transparent materials into interior spaces. - **Home Decor:** Market for unique and visually appealing furniture pieces that can also serve as functional storage solutions. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Striking Storage-Friendly Poufs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/berliner-pouf.md) - [Pyramidal Feline Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-cat-furniture.md) - [Customizable Puzzle-Like Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pent-modular-furniture-system.md) - [Multifaceted Geometric Stools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stackable-stools.md) - [Modular Table Seatings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-table-and-chair.md) - [Storage-Attached Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-chair.md) - [Dual-Sided Storage Benches](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bond-stool-system.md) - [Interlocking Living Room Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interlocking-living-room-furniture.md) - [Hidden Compartment Metallic Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stainless-steel-furniture-set.md)
