# Seamless Connectivity Systems The Pylon System Offers a Safe Wireless Experience By Vasiliki Marapas | Published 2014-11-27 | Tech Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pylon-system References: [coolhunting](http://www.coolhunting.com/tech/pylon-products-wi-fi.php) & [pylonproducts](http://www.pylonproducts.com) The [Pylon](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/audio-processor) system is a [password-free method](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/passwordless-authentication-platform) of connecting friends and visitors to your network. Because there is no password exchanged, it lowers the possibility of a network breach. To join the network, guests simply swipe their device by the Pylon, which then uses NFC (near field communication) to connect. Those who don't have NFC aren't excluded; they simply need to be a little more aggressive in their approach, "bumping" their device onto the Pylon. The host also has the ability to limit or restrict [Wi-Fi](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wifi-echo), without the hassle of changing the password. This technology is great for those hosting a house party or business meeting, but the advantages are exponentially greater when you consider all the lingerers who hang out in coffee shops for the free Internet. The Pylon system is ultimately a safer mode of connectivity in public spaces. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.8/10 - Popularity: 2% | Activity: 13% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Password-free Connectivity:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop password-free connectivity systems that offer a secure and hassle-free network experience. - **Nfc-based Connection:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore the integration of NFC technology for seamless device connectivity and network access. - **Network Security Enhancement:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create advanced network security systems that lower the risks of network breaches and protect user data. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Innovate and manufacture seamless connectivity systems for various technological devices and applications. - **Hospitality:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Implement password-free connectivity systems in hotels, cafes, and other hospitality establishments to enhance guest experience and improve security. - **Event Management:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Offer password-free connectivity solutions for event venues to streamline network access for attendees and enhance event security. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Dynamic Security Networking Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mesh-networking-systems.md) - [Home Mesh Networking Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eero1.md) - [Innovative Network Security Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ngpans.md) - [Hotel-Focused Wireless Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hotel-flint.md) - [Ultra-Secure Gateway Connectivity Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/deeper-connect-pico.md) - [Pro-Grade WiFi 7 Routers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nwa130be-by-zyxel.md) - [High-Demand Connectivity Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wifi-7-access-point.md) - [AI-Powered WiFi Security Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/home-security-alarm-system.md) - [Affordable Wi-Fi Networks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/affordable-wifi.md)
