The system comes in two configurations, one with a full-size keyboard and integrated screen, and another with a compact layout, both drawing inspiration from early cyber era hardware. The build process is documented step by step to help users who have never soldered or worked with CAD tools participate, turning assembly into part of the experience. The design focuses on clarity and intention, giving writers a machine that supports text input without the distractions that accompany modern laptops. The pared-back interface directs attention to the task without relying on software blocks or productivity hacks. The retro styling reinforces the idea of a [dedicated writing ritual](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/freewrite-wordrunner), and the open source structure encourages users to adjust or refine components based on their needs. The result is a device that prioritises focus, presence and functional simplicity.
