Acting like a switch, applying pressure to the tip of the faucet will determine how much water gushes out. This hyper-sensitive design is meant to create a more intuitive hand-washing experience, as all factors are manipulated by one's full control. The faucet aims to mitigate our carbon footprint and waste less water -- so that one can easily drop water over their contact lens or fill an entire basin. This never-before-seen design is thin and sleek but also environmentally conscious, appealing to [minimalist-favoring individuals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scandinavian-design-principles1) who like to show off their show-home houses in all of their multi-feature glory ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.7/10 - Popularity: 2% | Activity: 11% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Flow-controlled Taps:** The development of hyper-sensitive PURE Leaf Faucet creates a more intuitive hand-washing experience and reduces carbon footprint by only dispensing the right amount of water using touch sensors. - **Minimalist-friendly Faucet Designs:** The sleek design of PURE Leaf Faucet caters to individuals who prefer minimalist and eco-friendly items for their homes, creating opportunity for faucets with similar aesthetic. - **Innovative Water-saving Solutions:** PURE Leaf Faucet provides an innovative solution to mitigate water wastage and reduce carbon footprint.
