Designed by Uncharted Play, the same company that power-generating SOCCKET soccer ball, PULSE creates power through play. The power created is stored in a [removable battery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-batterycharging-device) that can then be used to [power or charge small electronic devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-power-solution). The idea behind the PULSE Jump Rope is that people in rural areas without access to reliable electricity can use it to power their electronics. The company is doing a limited beta run of 100 PULSEs, and each one is selling for $129. If the beta is successful then it's likely the price will drop steeply to make PULSE more appealing to consumers in third world countries. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.0/10 - Popularity: 72% | Activity: 100% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Social Good](https://www.trendhunter.com/socialgood) > [Social Business](https://www.trendhunter.com/socialbusiness) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Phone-charging Exercise Ropes:** The PULSE Jump Rope harnesses the power of play to generate electricity and charge small electronic devices. - **Power-generating Fitness Equipment:** The PULSE Jump Rope is part of a growing trend of fitness equipment that integrates power generation capabilities, creating new opportunities for sustainable energy solutions. - **Affordable Energy Solutions for Rural Areas:** The PULSE Jump Rope addresses the need for affordable energy solutions in rural areas, unlocking potential disruptive innovation in the consumer electronics industry. ### Where This Applies - **Fitness Equipment Manufacturing:** The PULSE Jump Rope opens up opportunities for fitness equipment manufacturers to incorporate power generation features into their products, providing added value to consumers. - **Renewable Energy:** The integration of power generation capabilities in fitness equipment like the PULSE Jump Rope contributes to the growth of renewable energy solutions by utilizing human kinetic energy. - **Consumer Electronics:** The PULSE Jump Rope's ability to charge small electronic devices presents an opportunity for innovation in the consumer electronics industry, particularly in regions with limited access to electricity. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Smart-Designed Skipping Ropes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-designed-skipping-rope.md) - [Connected Training Jump Ropes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/renpho-smart-jump-rope.md) - [Grip-Enhancing Smartphone Batteries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/popsockets-popgrip-jumpstart-lightning.md) - [Workout Rope-Inspired Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zestup-zrope.md) - [Power-Generating Desk Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lifespan-ampera.md) - [Kinetic-Friendly Power Banks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/last-resort-power-bank.md) - [Quick Workout Jump Ropes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/weighted-jump-rope.md) - [Wearable Triangular Power Banks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mchaos-power-bank.md) - [Productivity-Supporting Exercise Bikes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acer-ekinekt-bd-3.md)
