# Recycled Paper Dinner Sets 'Pulp Furniture' is Paper Made Eco-Friendly Seating By Allison Love | Published 2010-05-10 | Eco Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pulp-furniture1 References: [odelia-dan.blogspot](http://odelia-dan.blogspot.com/) 'Pulp Furniture' is another innovative way to recycle paper into new and useful things, such as this table furniture set. Design team Dan Hochberg and Odelia Lavie created Pulp Furniture to model the "strong but lightweight [pulp spacers found in some packaging](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paper-pulp-coffee-carrier)." The [eggcarton- looking seats and table](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bultan-chair) are incredibly strong and are visually interesting, but may not be all that functional, as the seats look pretty low to the ground, and may not match the typical house decor. Nevertheless, the pulp furniture does some good for the environment, so, what's not to love? ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.3/10 - Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Eco](https://www.trendhunter.com/eco) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Recycled Paper Furniture:** There is an opportunity for designers to create more functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture using recycled paper. - **Eco-friendly Packaging:** Companies can explore the use of pulp spacers for packaging materials as a sustainable alternative to traditional options. - **Upcycled Design:** Artists and creators can find innovative ways to repurpose materials, like paper, into unique and visually interesting designs. ### Where This Applies - **Furniture Design:** The furniture industry can incorporate recycled paper and eco-friendly materials into their product lines to cater to environmentally conscious consumers. - **Packaging:** Packaging companies have the opportunity to develop and promote pulp spacers as a sustainable packaging solution. - **Art and Design:** The art and design industry can explore upcycled materials like paper to create innovative and visually appealing products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Paper Mable-Made Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bentley-home.md) - [Paper-Formed Premium Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pastille.md) - [Waste-Based Furniture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ecofriendly-furniture1.md) - [Upcycled Waste Material Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cardboard-furniture-design.md) - [Recycled Paper Pulp Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modular-lamp1.md) - [Eco-Friendly Styrofoam Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/we.md) - [Sustainable Side Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/re-up-side-tables.md) - [Styrofoam Furniture Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trashy.md) - [Sculptural Paper Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fragmenti.md)
