With a hint of a mid-century vibe, it adds a touch of elegance and sophistication in the home. Yet the [sleek lines, basic colors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-lighting-design) and [looping cord](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loops-lamp) make it perfect for contemporary living spaces as well as offices. Designed by Tech Lighting for Lumens, the Pull Wall Sconce has a [simple slanted metal shade](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/barnacle-wall-sconce) that comes in either black or white rubberized paint. The fabric-covered cord is available in any color of choice including orange, grey and black. It is especially eye-catching if the cord and shape contrast each other. The fun part about the Pull Wall Sconce is that to turn it on a person simply tugs at the cord. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 24% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Looping Cord Lighting:** Opportunity for innovative lighting designs that incorporate looping cords for visual appeal and simplicity. - **Mid-century Vibes:** Trend for incorporating mid-century design elements in modern lighting fixtures for a touch of elegance and sophistication. - **Customizable Cord Colors:** Growing demand for lighting fixtures that offer customizable cord colors to allow for personalization and style matching. ### Who This Affects Most - **Interior Design:** Opportunity for interior design companies to incorporate looping cord lighting into their projects for a unique aesthetic. - **Lighting Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to develop and manufacture lighting fixtures with looping cords for enhanced visual appeal. - **Home Decor Retail:** Opportunity for home decor retailers to offer lighting options with customizable cord colors to cater to individual preferences. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Modern Affordable Wall Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poplight-wall-light.md) - [Metal Pleated Wall Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/donna-wall-light.md) - [Interactive Lamp Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tangent-lamp.md) - [Outlet-Equipped Workstation Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/avro-pendant-lamp.md) - [Printed Circuit Sconces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/printed-circuit.md) - [Elegant Axis-Mounted Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pendulum-lamp.md) - [Wireless Lighting Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cordless-collection.md) - [Classic Cordless Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poldina-classic-lamp.md) - [Chic Saucer-Shaped Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/light-in-tight-light-fixture.md)
