It is particularly perfect for people who live in those [tiny homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/florin-court-flat), but still love to host and are constantly looking for [extra seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/patan-chair). This interesting piece of furniture conveniently hides away another seat until a second chair is needed during special gatherings. Designed by Flavio Scalzo, the Pull&Push Chair rests as a rather slim chair, which is barely suitable for one. Yet its sleek, shiny black and steel look makes it a chic addition to any living space. When guests are over, you can [slide out a more traditional seat](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/slide-table-1) from the original piece, ensuring that your friends have a place to sit. The original part of the Pull&Push Chair can also act as a side table if one isn't hosting for too many people. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 47% | Activity: 52% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Compact Furniture:** The Pull&Push Chair taps into the trend of compact furniture design, offering a space-saving solution for smaller living spaces. - **Multi-functionality:** The Pull&Push Chair exemplifies the growing trend of multi-functional furniture, providing both seating and a side table in one piece. - **Hidden Seating:** The Pull&Push Chair caters to the trend of hidden seating options, allowing users to easily pull out an additional chair when needed. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture:** The furniture industry can explore opportunities in designing innovative and space-saving furniture pieces like the Pull&Push Chair. - **Interior Design:** Interior designers can incorporate compact and multi-functional furniture like the Pull&Push Chair to optimize space in small living areas. - **Hospitality:** The hospitality industry can leverage hidden seating solutions like the Pull&Push Chair to accommodate more guests and maximize seating capacity. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Multipurpose Polycarbonate Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/push-fit-chair.md) - [Ultra-Simple Multifunctional Furniture Pieces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chairpf.md) - [Sliding Flatpack Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/folio-chair.md) - [Table-Equipped Seating Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/migo-chair.md) - [Storage-Attached Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grid-chair.md) - [Wooden Twin Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/same-same.md) - [Recycled Scissor-Like Folding Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fauld-chair.md) - [Industrial Flatpack Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tekron-folding-chair.md) - [Flatpack Ultra-Modular Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nebula-chair.md)
