# Spilled Liquid Seating The Przelany Armchair by Wamhouse Looks Like a Cup of Coffee By Meghan Young | Published 2013-01-28 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/przelany-armchair References: [plusmood](http://plusmood.com/2013/01/armchair-przelany-wamhouse/) & [wamhouse.pl](http://www.wamhouse.pl/) The Przelany Armchair looks more like a digital work of art than an actual piece of furniture. The way the back of the seat sprays out like a splash of liquid is slightly unreal. Granted, that is the case because of the level of detail but into the design. It is almost as though the Przelany Armchair was modeled after a pot of coffee in the midst of being poured. Created by Polish design studio Wamhouse, the same company that released a [banana-shaped chair](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zjedzony) and a [sunny side up table](http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/table-egg), the Przelany Armchair fits in perfectly with their food fixation. In this case, it helps wash down the other products. Nevertheless, the Przelany Armchair does come in a red color that is not as appetizing since it looks like blood. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.7/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 88% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Liquid-inspired Furniture:** The Przelany Armchair by Wamhouse shows the potential for furniture design inspired by liquid forms. - **Hyperrealistic Design:** The high level of detail on the Przelany Armchair suggests potential for immersive and hyperrealistic furniture designs. - **Food-themed Furniture:** Wamhouse's food fixation could inspire a trend of food-themed furniture designs. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** The Przelany Armchair presents an opportunity for furniture manufacturers to explore new design concepts that push the limits of what is possible. - **Interior Design:** Hyperrealistic design could create an opportunity for interior designers to create immersive environments influenced by liquid forms. - **Art and Design:** The Przelany Armchair could inspire a new generation of artists and designers to use liquid forms as inspiration in their work. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Espresso Maker-Inspired Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moka-chair.md) - [Drink-Holding Outdoor Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lago-lounge-chair.md) - [Nostalgic Bistro-Style Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aroma-chair.md) - [Illusory Disconnected Component Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fly-armchair.md) - [Wavy Lounge Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wavy-lounge-chair.md) - [Quirky Postmodern Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-ebba-armchair.md) - [Water Ripples-Inspired Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-ripples-chair.md) - [Structurally Complex Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-arch-chair.md) - [Magnified Illusion Furniture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zoom-chair.md)
