This [armchair](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sedia-tonda) was designed by Alessandro Mellini and mixes a [classic design with contemporary styling](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/experiment-chair). I believe that the Proust Geometrical Chair would be a great furniture addition to any home. Most pieces of furniture follow a specific color pattern. Mellini’s chair would add a little bit of spice to the all brown, green or black living rooms that are all too common around the country. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.2/10 - Popularity: 82% | Activity: 96% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Home](https://www.trendhunter.com/home) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Colorful Furniture:** Designing furniture pieces with bold and vibrant colors to add a unique touch to normal living room aesthetics. - **Mixing Classic and Contemporary Design:** Combining classic furniture silhouettes with modern material and color choices for a creative twist on traditional pieces. - **Geometric Shapes in Furniture:** Incorporating angular lines and shapes in furniture design for a fresh take on chairs, sofas, and tables. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Using new materials and designs can be an innovative way to revamp classic furniture pieces and appeal to new customers. - **Home Decor:** Providing unique and colorful furniture options can enhance a business's product line, allowing customers to add some personality to their homes. - **Interior Design Services:** Incorporating eclectic furniture pieces with bold colors and sharp geometric shapes into a client's living space can create a unique aesthetic that is sure to impress. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Curvaceous Painted Lounge Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glits-rainbow-lounge.md) - [Quirky Postmodern Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-ebba-armchair.md) - [Flamboyant Vintage-Inspired Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/quiltana-armchair.md) - [Cozy Flower-Like Armchairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beba-armchair.md) - [Color-Filled Aluminum Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/joy-objects.md) - [Boldly Colorful Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/popo-chair.md) - [Structurally Complex Chair Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-arch-chair.md) - [Reimagined Colorful Chair Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stedelijk-chair.md) - [Colour Shift Clear Seating](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/color-roller.md)
