While it seems almost blasphemous to think about the government using blatant [propaganda posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sen-donnan) in this day and age, they were once a prominent part of society. In an inventive piece of [culture jamming](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-protests), David Redon combines the prominence of old propaganda ads with the prominence of modern celebrities.

The project is called 'Ads libitum' and it cleverly remixes artists into very [famous posters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beige-billboards). We see Kanye West inserted into the famous women rights advocating "We can do it" poster, Daft Punk "getting lucky" at a casino and even a young Michael Jackson on an aerosol can poster.

Re-appropriation is one of the best ways to get a point across in the most inventive of ways. This propaganda poster set does that in one of the smoothest and classiest ways possible.
