Take a microwave and a [projector](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/4k-laser-mini-projector), mash them together and you get the Proinjector by Hwang Jungjoon and Lee Jaeryong. As strange as this hybrid may sound, it does serve a purpose. The idea is to have the microwave [project the image](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/samsung-holodisplay) of the food that's currently cooking inside. This way, people will no longer have to press their nose against the microwave and be exposed to radiation. The focus can be adjusted with a dial so that the user can get a clear image for their own vision. At the moment, the Proinjector is a concept design, but hopefully it'll make its way through homes soon. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.6/10 - Popularity: 20% | Activity: 80% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Health](https://www.trendhunter.com/health) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Hybrid Microwave Projectors:** The combination of microwaves and projectors creates opportunities for safer food preparation and visualization. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Appliances:** The appliance industry can explore disruptive innovation by incorporating projectors into household appliances for improved functionality and safety. - **Food Technology:** The food technology industry can leverage hybrid microwave projectors for enhanced cooking experiences and visual presentations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Space-Themed Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-fooding.md) - [Sliding Microwave Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microwave-design.md) - [Futuristic Kitchen Appliances](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-on2cook.md) - [Connected Lamp-Style Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/projector-concept.md) - [Digitized Sticky Note Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/memojector.md) - [Micro Mobile Multimedia Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/groview-mini-projector.md) - [Oven-Like Microwave Cooking Containers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rangemate.md) - [Ultra Short-Throw Laser Projectors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/shortthrow-laser-projector.md) - [Smartwatch-Inspired Portable Microwaves](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/campo-portable-microwave.md)
