This versatile, expandable and rapid device is used via a [3D LED LCD touch display](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dell-ultrasharp-monitor) that boasts an impressive resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels and sits atop a computer-embedded pedestal that offers a ridiculous 24 terabytes of removable storage. The Pro Lab is designed for interactive museum exhibits, computer gaming and processor capacity-sapping applications involving visualizations and simulations. The device is an improvement over its predecessor the Pro model in that it has a new 55-inch [projected capacitive touch screen](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/microtouch-products) that isn't subject to light interference, can support up to 100 simultaneous touch points and has a response time of 5 milliseconds. This high-tech device is pretty reasonably priced at $24,000 -- given what it can do -- and could become a fixture in public places such as museums in the near future. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.0/10 - Popularity: 70% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Multimedia](https://www.trendhunter.com/multimedia) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Multi-touch Displays:** The development of larger multi-touch displays with higher resolution will enable more immersive and interactive experiences for users. - **High-capacity Storage Solutions:** As technology continues to produce larger amounts of data, demand for high-capacity storage solutions like Ideum's Pro Lab table will increase in various industries. - **Vertical-specific Interactive Tech:** Interactive devices like Ideum's Pro Lab table, designed for specific industries such as museums or gaming, will continue to be developed and adapted for other vertical-specific purposes. ### Where This Applies - **Museums and Exhibits:** Incorporating large multi-touch displays like Ideum's Pro Lab table into museum exhibits creates interactive and engaging experiences for visitors. - **Gaming:** The use of high-resolution and multitouch devices like Ideum's Pro Lab table can provide more immersive and interactive gaming experiences for players. - **Data Visualization and Simulation:** Industries such as scientific research and engineering that rely on data visualization and simulation will benefit from high-capacity and ultra-responsive interactive devices like Ideum's Pro Lab table. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Large Format Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ktc-inch-android-display.md) - [Interactive Multipurpose Touchscreen Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hkmlc-smart-boards.md) - [Tablet-Like Touchscreen Monitors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dell-1.md) - [Touchscreen Projector Peripherals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touchscreen-projector.md) - [Interactive Projection Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/abusizz.md) - [Ultra-Short Throw Projection Computers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/projection-computer.md) - [Digital Board Game Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-arena.md) - [Content-Creation Touchscreen Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/touchscreen-tablet.md) - [Rolling Home Display Tablets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/acer-aopen-32s1u-pro.md)
