# Explicit Office Accessories The P#rnstar Wooden Penstand Makes Tidying Utensils Seem Dirty By Amelia Roblin | Published 2012-09-12 | Naughty Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prnstar-wooden-penstand References: [notcot.org](http://www.notcot.org/post/50110/) & [peter-jakubik](http://www.peter-jakubik.com/2011/01/wooden-penstand-pornstar.html) In essence, the Pornstar Wooden Penstand simply comprises a [piece of wood](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/desk-shelf-pro) with a hole it in, designed specifically for the [storage of a single writing utensil](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pareto-pot). In execution, this [basic desktop accessory](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/forming-function-nomad-collection) has been crafted into something far less innocent. Designer Peter Jakubik has a reputation for having a bit of edge to his designs. Some would call his work controversial. This type of person might likely look at this item and be immediately hit with a sense of surprise. The wood has been sculpted and etched into the form of a voluptuous woman, crouched down with her knees spread to either side. If it was illustrated with more detail, the Pornstar Wooden Penstand might expose the lady's nether regions. Instead, a perfectly round hole can be found between her legs where one can lightheartedly or culpably place his ballpoint pen. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.5/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 97% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Naughty](https://www.trendhunter.com/naughty) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Explicit Office Accessories:** Opportunity for businesses to create provocative and unconventional office products that challenge traditional norms and provoke conversation. - **Controversial Design:** Potential for designers to create thought-provoking and boundary-pushing designs that challenge societal expectations. - **Sexualization of Everyday Objects:** Opportunity for businesses to explore the use of sexual innuendo in the design of everyday objects, creating a playful and humorous experience for users. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Office Supplies:** Chance for office supply companies to develop unique and attention-grabbing products that add a touch of edginess and personality to workspaces. - **Design and Fashion:** Potential for designers and fashion brands to push boundaries and create controversial accessories that provoke conversation and challenge societal norms. - **Novelty Gifts and Home Decor:** Opportunity for novelty gift and home decor companies to offer provocative and unconventional items that cater to consumers looking for unique and edgy products. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimal Compact Pen Stands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/serenity-pen-stand.md) - [Multipurpose Workstation Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/oakywood-wooden-cubic-pot.md) - [Off-Kilter Desktop Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/concept-pen-holder.md) - [Dumpster Pencil Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dumpstuder-pencil-holders.md) - [Striking Writing Tool Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zenith7-desk-pen.md) - [Organized Minimal Pen Holders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stilo75-pen-holder.md) - [Ceremonious Writing Utensils](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aestus-signature-pen.md) - [Modern Wooden Desk Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ofiistory-desk-supplies.md) - [Three-in-One Writing Utensils](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tp-pen.md)
