With the help of a sports psychology student and the prison games coordinator, Negrel was able to gain access into the confines of several prisons in Nice, Tarascon, Salon La Vanetine and Grasse. Negrel's series is refreshing because it focuses on something other than the prisoner's daily lives; instead, it documents a collective goal. Only those who have exhibited good behavior are chosen to participate in the games, an activity that is intended for [prisoner rehabilitation and reintegration into society](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/banned-books-jail). The photographs, which are available for both staff and inmates to see, show the trust and freedom the men are given, not to mention a unbridled love of the game. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 3.2/10 - Popularity: 57% | Activity: 30% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Fashion](https://www.trendhunter.com/fashion) > [Photography](https://www.trendhunter.com/stylephotography) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Prisoner Rehabilitation:** Opportunity for innovative programs and technologies that help rehabilitate prisoners and prepare them for reintegration into society. - **Sports Psychology in Prisons:** Potential for the application of sports psychology techniques and strategies to support inmate rehabilitation and improve their mental well-being. - **Inmate Engagement Through Games:** Opportunity to create interactive and engaging games within prison facilities to promote teamwork, discipline, and a sense of purpose among inmates. ### Where This Applies - **Correctional Facilities:** Potential for corrections industry to adopt innovative approaches and technologies for prisoner rehabilitation and reintegration. - **Sports Psychology:** Opportunity for sports psychology professionals to work with correctional facilities in developing programs that address mental health and well-being of inmates. - **Video Game Development:** Potential for the video game industry to collaborate with prisons in creating rehabilitation-focused games that can contribute to the positive development of inmates. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Immigration System-Inspired Artworks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/passport-series.md) - [Raw Sports Emotion Artwork](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/game-exhibition.md) - [Travel-Inspired Canvas Paintings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-passport-series.md) - [Toronto Art Wine Colllabs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-prisoner-wine-co-and-artist-justin-broadbent.md) - [Three-Part Photography Exhibits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rhinoceros-gallery1.md) - [Public Art Displays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/paul-anthony-smith.md) - [Social Good Peruvian Menswear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pieta.md) - [Limited-Edition Collector's Boxsets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/collectors-boxset.md) - [Prison-Transformed Luxe Hotels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hoshino-resort.md)
