ETH Zurich's 'peakBoil' Stove Offers Enhanced Wind Protection

A team from the ETH Zurich Design and Technology Lab created the 'peakBoil' as an innovative 3D-printed camping stove that helps to solve the problem of traditional camping stoves functioning poorly in [windy conditions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wind-anchor).

The printed stove design boasts a form that looks somewhat comparable to a Bundt cake pan, with ridges that actually help to protect it from wind and maintain heat.

peakBoil received recognition as the winner of the [3D Pioneers Challenge competition](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/loop-concept), as the innovative design helps to conserve precious resources. Moving forward, the team that developed the inventive 3D-printed camping stove design is now looking to modify the burner with additional improvements, such as optimizing the flow of gas and air to further improve heat transfer.
