The system is designed for use during and post-pregnancy, keeping tabs on weight gain or loss throughout. As well as having applications just for an expecting mother, the scale can be used by both mom and a growing baby after delivery. Alongside an app, Balance has a woman stand on the scale with her child to take note of weight changes over time. There are entire industries built around helping women to shed [post-baby weight](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/methreesixty), but this one empowers women by putting the data in their hands. It's also worth noting that infant scales are often outrageously overpriced, so this system provides a two-in-one solution that can be used by both baby and mom. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.5/10 - Popularity: 33% | Activity: 33% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Life-Stages](https://www.trendhunter.com/life-stages) > [Babies](https://www.trendhunter.com/babies) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Smart Pregnancy Scales:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop more pregnancy-specific smart scales that provide comprehensive data and insights for expectant mothers. - **Post-baby Weight Loss:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create innovative solutions and technologies to help women effectively shed post-baby weight and track their progress. - **Affordable Baby Scales:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Design and produce affordable and user-friendly baby scales that provide accurate measurements for parents. ### Where This Applies - **Healthcare Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate smart technology into healthcare systems and devices for improved patient monitoring and management. - **Fitness and Wellness:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop new fitness and wellness solutions tailored specifically for women during pregnancy and post-baby. - **Consumer Electronics:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create innovative and affordable consumer electronic devices that provide useful features and functionalities for parents and babies. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Pregnancy Tracker Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/babytrack.md) - [Pregnancy-Friendly Fitness Equipment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bala-mama.md) - [Smart Health Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/withings-body-scan-2.md) - [Multi-Use Smart Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/scale-x.md) - [Pregnancy Wellness Plans](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eating-for-pregnancy.md) - [High-Precision Sensor Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/household-smart-scale.md) - [Smart-Designed Body Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smartdesigned-body-scale.md) - [Prenatal Care Wearables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/morrama.md) - [Size-Inclusive Weight Scales](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/premium-wide-base-weight-scale.md)
