The system works with 99.6% accuracy, and it has the ability to predict seizures up to a maximum of one hour before a seizure has occurred. IEEE Spectrum stated that the new system will allow people to take the necessary medication before the onset of a seizure. The AI system is still undergoing development so it can later be used to help people manage seizures. Currently, researchers are working to produce a chip that will be able to process the AI system’s algorithms. The new AI system could have significant implications for individuals who suffer from seizures.
