# Geekified Nightstands The Predator Lamp Table is Perfect at Keeping Any Alien Foes at Bay By Alex Scott | Published 2010-04-12 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/predator-lamp-table References: [bornrich.org](http://www.bornrich.org/entry/the-predator-leaves-the-warrior-race-to-grace-your-sci-fi-abode/) & [latemag](http://latemag.com/predator-lamp-tables) When you're sleeping, you want to make sure you have someone watching over you, and who better to be your guardian than a viscous alien hunter?! The Predator Lamp Table brings the most feared creature on the galaxy right to your bedside! And might I add, he has never looked so good as he does in pewter. Each Predator Lamp Table is hand crafted from steel and features a [diamond plate base](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/intra-side-table) and a [glass top](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lumera). The fact that they have left it as unpainted metal means it won't stand out like a sore thumb in the room which is always nice. Now all I need is an Alien armoire. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 12% | Activity: 27% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Geek Furniture:** There is a growing trend of furniture geared towards nerdy and geeky interests. - **Pop Culture Home Decor:** Consumers are embracing home decor inspired by popular movies, TV shows, and video games. - **Functional Decor:** There is increased demand for home decor items that also serve a practical purpose. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Furniture Manufacturing:** There are opportunities for furniture manufacturers to explore niche markets with unique designs and themes. - **Home Decor Retail:** Home decor retailers can capitalize on the demand for pop culture inspired items by stocking unique and creative products. - **Retail Technology:** Retail technology companies could explore opportunities for augmented and virtual reality for customers to visualize pop culture themed home decor in their own homes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Tech-Packed Bedroom Nightstands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/smart-bedside-table.md) - [Aquatic Creature-Inspired Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nessie-side-table.md) - [Video Game-Inspired Side Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pac-man-side-table.md) - [Maximalist UFO Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flying-saucer-coffee-table.md) - [Creature-Like Coffee Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/octopus-center-table.md) - [Creature-Like Floor Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pink-robots-won.md) - [Industrial Floating Bedside Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tu-bedside-table.md) - [Connected Multifunctional Nightstands](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-sleep-nightstand.md) - [Sea Creature Study Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pirate-shark-study-desk.md)
