When Ionna Vautrin was developing the abstract composition of this unusual lampshade, she was remembering the sort of overhang under which she and her fellow students would seek refuge when it rained in the schoolyard. With this innocent and nostalgic idea in mind, the designer executed the light fixture with a beautifully youthful form. It comprises a [wooden ledge-like component](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arc-lamp) that's held by a pair of mounting braces. The roof of the Préau Lumineux wall lamp was made from what appears to be a piece of [thin metal material](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foreshadow-table-lamp).
