Always the trendsetter, Miuccia [Prada](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galleria-handbag) asked Hedi Slimane to helm the Asian-inspired Prada Spring 2010 ad campaign. Slimane came up with a [black and white series of photographs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/jiyongkim-fw25) that harken back to the streets and lounges of early 20th century China.

[Chinese models both male and female](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/maybelline-face-the-difference) populate the landscape along with a few Caucasian male models, which is highly unusual for Prada but extremely refreshing. Chinese artist Yang Fudong contributed a video for the Prada Spring 2010 ad campaign. Watch Yang’s video and then click through the gallery for more of Hedi Slimane’s beautiful photographs for Prada.
