# Rustic Porcelain Light Fixtures Immerlit is a Piece of Practical Art That Will Illuminate Any Room By Michael Baxter | Published 2014-01-15 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/practical-art References: [coolhunting](http://www.coolhunting.com/design/immerlit-lights.php) & [immerlit](http://www.immerlit.com/) A piece of practical art is the real-life equivalent of having your cake and eating it too. On the one hand, you get a beautiful piece of artistry while on the other hand, you get something that you can use and may even need. ImmerLit fits this mold down to the letter as a piece of practical art. It does its job and looks good while doing it. The [light shades](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-lighting) are made of porcelain and the build makes the fixture look ruffled. When the lights are on, the [porcelain shade](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/modern-bohemia) even looks to be flowing. The lights take best to LED lights and those are the kinds that are recommended for usage with immerLit but they also take any kind. Each piece seems to have a life of its own and can also bring that life to any room in your home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.0/10 - Popularity: 29% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 30% men, 70% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Practical Art:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Creating functional products that double as artistic pieces. - **Porcelain Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Developing innovative ways to incorporate porcelain materials into lighting fixtures. - **LED Lighting:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Advancing LED technology to enhance lighting aesthetics and performance. ### Where This Applies - **Art Decor:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Introducing unique, practical art pieces for interior decoration purposes. - **Lighting Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Redefining lighting fixture designs by integrating unconventional materials like porcelain. - **LED Technology:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Pushing the boundaries of LED technology to improve energy efficiency and lighting versatility. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Soft Bathroom Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pastello-collection.md) - [Luminous Tile Art Collections](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/balera-collection.md) - [Scenic Architecture Lamps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/architecture-inspired-table-lamp.md) - [Expertly Machined Pendant Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prose-light.md) - [Otherworldly Lighting Fixture Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otherworldly-lighting-fixture.md) - [Naturalistic Handmade Illuminators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/honey-lamp-collection.md) - [Sculpted Ceramic Lighting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mios.md) - [Suspended Halo Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamplox-minimalist-floor-lamp.md) - [Elegant Geometric Light Fixtures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/geometric-light-fixture.md)
