The brand's [Power](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arkpax-ark) ARK vessels are intended to carry renewable energy that is sourced from [wind turbines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/grain-blanc) that are located very far off of the coast. This would help to capture the energy of very strong wind currents that are found further off-shore than where existing wind farms are situated. Imabari Shipbuilding President Yukito Higaki commented on the solutions being developed by PowerX saying, "The realization of a decarbonized society is a major issue that the shipbuilding and shipping industries must tackle.
