# Nap-Friendly Workstations The 'PowerNap Desk' from Unnecessary Inventions Allows for Quick Rests By Michael Hemsworth | Published 2021-01-26 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/powernap-desk References: [homecrux](https://www.homecrux.com/powernap-desk-by-unnecessary-inventions/149536/) & [unnecessaryinventions](https://www.unnecessaryinventions.com/powernap-desk/) The 'PowerNap Desk' has been designed and created by Matt Benedetto of Unnecessary Inventions to provide professionals with a tongue-in-cheek furniture option to incorporate into their [home office](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ma-camilla-isabel-reyes) or perhaps even formal office. The desk consists of a wooden construction that will offer ample space on top for keeping essentials like [laptops, smartphones, mouses](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pi-lap-desk) and more in place. The unit is outfitted with a series of 3D-printed brackets that will allow it to be unlocked and rotated to reveal a bed section on the underside that is perfect for [taking a catnap during the workday](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zzzn-sleep-apparel-system). The 'PowerNap Desk' solves the problem of what a worker can do when they feel a bit sleepy throughout the day and, while a humorously designed furniture creation by Benedetto, would likely be appreciated by those who work from home.
