Since pretty much every single gadget out there relies on rechargeable lithium ion batteries, it can be a headache to remember to charge everything to full capacity, sometimes on a daily basis. The Pickup Power charger from Quirky makes a valiant attempt at solving this problem by not only featuring a fairly standard power bar, but also comes with a 4000 mAh [portable battery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/highperformance-portable-battery) for charging gadgets like a GPS or phones on the go when you need a little extra juice at the worst possible moment. Both the power bar and the extra battery can connect easily to any USB-enabled device, which is pretty much all of them these days. The Pickup Power charger is currently being readied for a consumer release by Quirky. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.6/10 - Popularity: 50% | Activity: 21% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, South America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Portable Gadget Chargers:** An opportunity to innovate in creating portable and compact charging devices that can charge multiple gadgets simultaneously. - **Wireless Gadget Chargers:** An opportunity to innovate in creating wireless charging technology that eliminates the need for wires and cords. - **Smartphone Power Banks:** An opportunity to innovate in creating more powerful and efficient smartphone power banks that can charge multiple times with a single charge. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Consumer Electronics:** The industry producing gadgets can innovate in creating new and innovative accessories such as portable chargers. - **Wireless Technology:** Wireless technology firms can innovate in creating efficient and practical wireless charging solutions. - **Battery Technology:** The battery technology industry can innovate in creating high capacity batteries that are compact and can charge multiple gadgets with a single charge. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Camping-Ready Portable Batteries](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mobile-universe.md) - [Compact Capacious Tech Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mophie-powerstation-pro-ac.md) - [Multi-Passthrough Travel Adapters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/octopass.md) - [Ultra-Compact Tech Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nimble-champ-pro-portable-charger.md) - [Adaptable Modular Power Banks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/statik-snapncharge-universal-power-bank.md) - [Charing Gadget Expansions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plugable1.md) - [Port-Laden Automotive Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/automotive-charger.md) - [Three-in-One Smartphone Chargers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chargepuck.md) - [Compact Portable Power Stations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-power-station1.md)
