This rainbow color vase is made from a combination of different plastics and comes in an endless collection of colors. Its magical [color changing effect](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pangolin) offers a variety of facades instead of a single shade. This brings back the psychedelic days of the 60s and 70s when kaleidoscopic hallucinations and multi-colored hues were in. Rotterdam-based Nightshop is also showcasing its 'Lightweight' lamp, which is a dumbell-shaped light fixture inspired by Chinese lanterns; its [color wired lamp](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/star-bulb) is handmade entirely from PVC materials. Check out this multifaceted vase that'll get more attention than any exotic plant that is put into it. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 75% | Activity: 71% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Color-changing Home Decor:** The POV vase demonstrates the trend of color-changing home decor, presenting disruptive innovation opportunities for designers and manufacturers to create unique and dynamic pieces. - **Nostalgic Psychedelic Design:** The kaleidoscopic hues of the POV vase evoke a sense of nostalgia for the psychedelic design of the 60s and 70s, highlighting potential disruptive innovation opportunities for designers to revive and reinvent this aesthetic. - **Handmade PVC Lighting:** Nightshop's color wired lamp showcases the trend of handmade PVC lighting, presenting disruptive innovation opportunities for artisanal designers to create sustainable and visually unique light fixtures. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Home Decor:** The color-changing POV vase opens up disruptive innovation possibilities for the home decor industry, allowing for the creation of interactive and visually captivating products. - **Design and Fashion:** The nostalgic psychedelic design trend seen in the POV vase offers disruptive innovation opportunities for designers and fashion brands to incorporate vibrant and dynamic patterns into their products. - **Lighting Fixtures:** Nightshop's handmade PVC color wired lamp suggests disruptive innovation opportunities within the lighting fixture industry, encouraging the exploration of unconventional materials and shapes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Illusory Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vaso-gota-vase.md) - [Gradient Tonal Optical Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/stretch-color.md) - [Artful Dynamic Kinetic Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/kinetic-vases.md) - [Delicate Colorful Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/delicate-colorful-vase.md) - [Dynamic Colorful Glass Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pavilion-set.md) - [Nature-Inspired Colorful Glass Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anemona.md) - [Anamorphic Fuzzy Glowing Vessels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alien-vases.md) - [Rechargeable Illuminating Vases](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bouquet.md) - [Unusual Home Decor](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ceramic-brown-paper-bag-vase.md)
