# Minimalist Wallpaper Changers The Poster Plugin Automatically Adjusts Computer Backgrounds By Joey Haar | Published 2018-06-08 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/poster-plugin References: [producthunt](https://www.producthunt.com/posts/poster-2) & [posterapp.co](https://posterapp.co/?ref=producthunt) Nearly everyone uses a computer daily, and with all that use, one's background image can grow stale pretty quickly -- the Poster plugin helps to keep wallpaper fresh and inspirational. The minimalist tool for macOS gives users a quick and simple way to change up the image on their desktop as frequently as they see fit. The Poster plugin is accessible directly through the menubar on macOS computers, so it's always just a click away. It then uses a search engine to find high-quality background images based on whatever is inspiring users at the moment. Because the tool is so conveniently placed and quick to activate, users need not get pulled too far from their main task whenever they decide that their desktops needs a shuffle. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 0.8/10 - Popularity: 15% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Minimalist Wallpaper Changers:** Tools that offer easy and quick ways to refresh and personalize computer backgrounds ### Who This Affects Most - **Computer Software:** There is an opportunity for software developers to create simple and intuitive tools for desktop customization like the Poster plugin - **Digital Art and Design:** Artists and designers can leverage the demand for personalized wallpapers to create and sell unique backgrounds for computer desktops - **Social Media:** Social media platforms can integrate wallpaper changers and personalization options into their user experience through the use of APIs and partnerships with developers like Poster plugin ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Poster Creation Templates](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/makeposter.md) - [AI Movie Poster Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ai-movie-poster-generator.md) - [AI Wallpaper Creation Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dreampix.md) - [Custom New Tabs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/unsplash-wanderer.md) - [Desktop Widget Customization](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/widgetify.md) - [Emotion-Based Wallpaper Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/moodpaper.md) - [Visual Content Generators](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/markdown-to-poster-editor.md) - [Personalized High-Quality Wallpapers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/device-wallpapers.md) - [Automated Social Media Posting](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/postergpt.md)
