The system is perfect for outdoor excursions and has users fill up a pouch at an available water source like a river, lake or stream. Where the purification comes in is with a [filtration attachment](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-filter-tumbler) that goes onto the bag. From here, the newly potable water can be consumed using this apparatus like the spout of a water bottle, or poured through the filter and back into a waterbottle. Available in three sizes, this clean drinking water aid guarantees a million gallons of clean drinking water before it's time for a replacement. Perfectly portable, this is a backpacker or camper's dream. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.1/10 - Popularity: 18% | Activity: 8% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Drinking](https://www.trendhunter.com/drinking) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Portable Water Filtration Systems:** Opportunity for companies to develop compact and efficient water filtration systems for outdoor enthusiasts. - **Versatile Water Purification Methods:** Potential for innovation in creating versatile purification attachments that can be easily connected to water pouches or bottles. - **Long-lasting Filtration Technology:** Demand for water filtration systems with high capacity filters that can provide clean drinking water for extended periods. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Outdoor Recreation:** Opportunity for businesses in the outdoor recreation industry to develop and market portable water filtration systems for hikers, campers, and adventurers. - **Travel and Tourism:** Potential for travel-related industries to offer portable water filtration solutions for international travelers or those visiting remote areas with limited access to clean water sources. - **Emergency Preparedness:** Opportunity for companies in the emergency preparedness industry to develop compact and reliable water filtration systems for use during natural disasters or emergency situations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compatibly Compact Water Filters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/compact-water-filter.md) - [Extra-Rugged Water Filter Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gravity-filter-system.md) - [Travel-Friendly Water Purification Products](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lifestraw-peak-series.md) - [Adaptable Water Purification Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adaptable-water-purification-system.md) - [Miniature Water Filtration Straws](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/peak-solo.md) - [Collapsible Water Filtration Bottles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/filtration-bottles.md) - [Personal Water Purifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lifestraw-mission.md) - [Multifaceted Water Filtration Kits](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-filtration-kit.md) - [Personal Water Filtering Straws](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lifestraw.md)
