Internet access is a major issue with the modern traveler, especially when they must head to remote locations where traditional workstations are unheard of.

SolarNetOne is essentially a “Internet-in-a-box terminal network system,” as Springwise quips. [Photovoltaic solar panels](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/eo-canopy) power a [small-footprint server and terminals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/worknic) equipped with LCD monitors, 15,000 applications and full mobile office and web browsing capabilities.

SolarNetOne has both an Ethernet hub and [Wi-Fi coverage within a two-mile radius](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glocalme-meowgo-g50-max). The eco-friendly project uses no more power than a 100-watt light bulb.

There is currently a SolarNetOne installation at Katsina State University in Nigeria, images of which are found in the gallery.
