Currently seeking backers via a crowdfunding campaign on [Kickstarter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zlounger), the Leano is a minimalist piece of furniture that can be rolled up and taken anywhere. It is also smaller than a ukelele. Designed by Nik Lorbeg, the Leano is simple to use: just unravel, put the frame together and lay down. The portable chair is also very stable, staying in place even as you fidget and move around. It can work on any surface, so you don't have to rely on sand or soft ground to set it up. It can even rest on tile or glass. The strong wooden frame is handcrafted out of locally sourced beechwood too. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 6.1/10 - Popularity: 90% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Portable Seating:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Develop lightweight, foldable seating solutions for outdoor activities and events. - **Minimalist Furniture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Create minimalist furniture designs that offer convenience and portability for modern lifestyles. - **Multi-surface Stability:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Engineer stable seating options that can be used on various surfaces, expanding their usability and convenience. ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Outdoor Equipment:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Incorporate lightweight, rollable seating into outdoor recreational equipment and accessories. - **Furniture Manufacturing:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Integrate minimalist design principles into furniture manufacturing processes, optimizing for portability and ease of use. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity: Explore innovative seating solutions that can be used on multiple surfaces without compromising stability, catering to diverse interior design needs. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Compact Foldable Camping Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-lander.md) - [Sleek Portable Air Recliners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/zlounger.md) - [Pocket-Sized Outdoor Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-sized-chair.md) - [Featherweight Camping Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/camping-chair.md) - [Dual-Purpose Camping Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chair-a.md) - [Flatpack Adventure-Ready Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/portable-outdoor-chair.md) - [Beach Backpack Recliners](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/beach-backpack-recliner.md) - [Vintage-Inspired Beach Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vintageinspired-beach-chair.md) - [Legless Floor Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-bold-chair.md)
