The 'Amplio' is constructed from natural bamboo wood in the style of classic radios. The [retro-inspired sound amplifier](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ka15-usb-dac) is purposely made to use not wires or batteries, and instead uses a compact acoustic chamber that increases the sound of a phone and adds a stereo-like effect. The chamber connects to a universal dock that is also able to house all types of smartphones currently on the market. The retro style and elegant bamboo construction of this portable device makes it not only recyclable and sustainable, but also highly decorative in whatever space it inhabits. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 82% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Natural Amplifiers:** Creating portable amplifiers that enhance the sound of smartphones without the use of electrical components using acoustics and sustainable materials. - **Retro-inspired Audio Devices:** Designing audio devices that are aesthetically vintage and use modern technology at the same time. - **Eco-friendly Audio Technology:** Incorporating sustainable and recyclable materials in the production of audio devices. ### Where This Applies - **Audio Technology:** Manufacturing audio devices that use natural amplifiers instead of electrical components. - **Home Decor:** Producing audio devices that also serve as decor items in living spaces. - **Sustainability:** Creating audio devices that incorporate eco-friendly materials and reduce electronic waste. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Exposed Component Audio Amplifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ampieq-sound-amplifier.md) - [Customizable Bluetooth Amplifier Accessories](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whooshi-portable-amplifier.md) - [Wine Bottle-Resembling Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dream-echo.md) - [Modernized Retro Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-memory.md) - [Phone Charger-Infused Speakers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phone-chargerinfused-speaker.md) - [Headphone-Friendly Wireless Amplifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wireless-guitar-amplifier.md) - [Stylish Low-Tech Sound Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/frame-sound.md) - [Retro Sound Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/d32.md) - [Minimalist Instrument-Holding Amplifiers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/breeze-guitar-amp.md)
