The Pop-Up House is a nifty pop-up bachelor pad, designed by Taller DE2 Arquitectos, that is only the latest in an expanding line of [modular living spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/affordable-housing-prototype) located in Spain's [capital Madrid](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/burr-studio-1). This house brings together utilitarian decor and space-saving furniture to make for a cute little bachelor pad. The architects started with a 20th century apartment before completely manipulating it to fit the simple needs of a 30-something bachelor.

The pop-up bachelor pad is dotted with examples of [fold-down furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/florin-court-flat) which hide cupboards, wardrobes and hidden appliances. As far as appearance is concerned, the modular units do not have a painted or papered finish, something I find gives it a pleasing appearance even though it may not be to everyone's taste.
