With the intention of adding some natural flavor to the sprawling metropolis, pop-up parks are materializing across Manhattan and Brooklyn in New York city.

After decades of untempered construction and expansion, the urban planners of today are desperately trying to undo the toil of their for-bearers. Although residents have broadcast fears of crowds and noise, the pop-up parks have managed to avoid attracting too much attention and, indeed, strike the perfect balance between city-living and serenity.
