Designer Sang Won Sung has an incredibly unique approach to creating his pop dolls. Instead of simply using one material, Sung scrounges around different environments in order to find [everyday materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/basket-sculptures) so he can combine them with plastic to form the dolls.

According to Sung he uses, "plastic containers, [parts of toys](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/popup-in-singapore), doll’s arms and legs, screws… all sorts of things surrounding us in our modern daily life are what I need to make my figures." The idea is to get objects that are connected to our intimate environments so that the dolls are more than just combined materials; they have stories that are formed by each piece.

Sang Won Sung's pop dolls are both a clever use of materials and an inspiration for his artistic process.
