The wedding's decor is quirky and colorful, borrowing plenty of inspiration from the past. As the couple love to entertain, Katy remarks that: "We love throwing a party (usually [fancy dress](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lg-launderette-of-love)) and so this was hopefully going to be a bigger and better version of one of those." A lot of the decor used to decorate The Chainstore venue were created as quick and easy DIY projects, not the kinds that eat up time months in advance before the wedding. The colorful decorations are mixed with [pop art placeholders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keiichi-tanaami-1), pink flamingos and [vintage crockery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/krakw-apartment). To make the day as entertaining as possible, guests were kept amused with a round of wedding bingo. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.1/10 - Popularity: 77% | Activity: 38% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 10% men, 90% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Romance](https://www.trendhunter.com/romance) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Vintage-inspired Decor:** Opportunity for event planning and decor companies to offer vintage and quirky decor elements for weddings and other events. - **DIY Wedding Decor:** Opportunity for craft and hobby companies to offer DIY wedding decor kits and supplies for couples looking to save money and add a personal touch to their wedding. - **Entertainment-driven Weddings:** Opportunity for event planners and entertainers to offer unique and interactive wedding experiences, such as wedding bingo, that keep guests engaged and amused. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Event Planning:** Companies within this industry can offer unique decor and entertainment options to couples looking to spice up their wedding celebrations. - **Craft and Hobby:** Companies within this industry can expand their product offerings to include wedding decor kits and supplies to tap into the DIY trend for weddings. - **Entertainment:** Companies within this industry can offer unique wedding entertainment options, such as games and interactive activities, to add a fun and memorable element to the celebrations. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Forward-Thinking Wedding Pop-Ups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/anthropologie-weddings-x-pinterest.md) - [Unique Wedding Pop-Up Events](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wedding-popup.md) - [Dairytale Bridal Tributes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/disney-wedding-dresses-1.md) - [Iconically Located Wedding Pop-Ups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/times-square-this-valentines.md) - [Festive Bridal Accessory Lines](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wedding-planning1.md) - [Wedding Crasher Weddings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wedding-crasher-wedding.md) - [Pop Culture-Themed Rugs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/my-world.md) - [Artful Wedding Stationery](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minted-x-the-met-wedding-collection.md) - [Vegas-Themed Wedding Packages](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vegasthemed-wedding-package.md)
