The Pop Autumn/Winter 2014 editorial taken by photographer Tom Ordoyno does an excellent job of muting formalwear. Stylist Tallulah Harlech assembled a series of couture pieces fit for black tie affairs, each one worn by models Lena Hardt and Nelam Johal.
While upscale apparel is central to this Pop production, Hardt and Johal made the ensembles appear quite casual and approachable for the average reader. Showcased alongside opulent fabrics and high end cuts were their laid back, nonchalant attitudes, a feature that speaks to just how little is needed to deliver a contemporary set of stately pieces.
Attitudes aside, there is much grandeur present in these outfits. At the core of the images are ruffled skirts, sleek bustiers, floral prints and chic high necklines.
