# City-Inspired Abodes This New York-Inspired Loft is Now a Pop Art House By Paul Maccarone | Published 2013-08-05 | World Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pop-art-house References: [waveavenue](http://waveavenue.com/profiles/blogs/transformed-industrial-warehouse-into-a-pop-art-haven) & [wp.me](http://wp.me/p3tn1C-7CD) Located in Sydney, Australia, this [amazing loft](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-casa-mrgt) was transformed into a pop art house that was inspired completely by the culture of New York. The loft is decorated in a kind of organized chaos that really fits the theme it was going for. With metallic blacks and rustic browns, the contrasting vibrant colors create an [art gallery type feel](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/galeria-house) that makes the house really distinct. The sleek interior has an amazing array of large windows that bring in a lot of natural light, which allows the house to be illuminated in an organic way. Walking into this pop art house would feel exactly the same way as walking into an art gallery in New York. The wooden suspended floor to get around the second level of the loft is truly ingenious as it must feel like walking on a deck. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.3/10 - Popularity: 89% | Activity: 61% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [World](https://www.trendhunter.com/world) > [Regional](https://www.trendhunter.com/regional) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Pop Art House Decor:** Creating interior designs with bright, vibrant colors and an art gallery type feel inspired by pop art culture. - **Organized Chaos Interior Design:** Designing spaces with contrasting colors and a mix of textures to create an intentionally chaotic, yet cohesive aesthetic. - **Natural-light-focused Architecture:** Designing buildings with large windows and strategic positioning to maximize natural light and create an organic, illuminated environment. ### Who This Affects Most - **Real Estate:** Incorporating pop art-inspired decor and unique interior design concepts in residential and commercial properties for a visually striking and immersive experience. - **Interior Design:** Offering services that specialize in creating organized chaos interiors and pop art-inspired designs, catering to clients seeking a bold and vibrant aesthetic. - **Architecture:** Developing innovative building designs that prioritize natural light and incorporate elements such as suspended wooden floors for a unique and refreshing living experience. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [European-Inspired Urban Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ghislaine-via.md) - [Reimagined Modern NYC Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tribeca-loft.md) - [Manhattan-Honoring New York Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mcgovern-project.md) - [Vibrantly Designed German Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vitrahaus-loft.md) - [Artist Apartment Conversions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alan-prekop-studio.md) - [Luxuriously Artistic Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/child-studio1.md) - [Exposed Wooden Beam Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gowanus-loft.md) - [Book-Filled Mezzanine Lofts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dumbo-loft.md) - [Nostalgic 70s-Inspired Apartments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-special-studio.md)
