# Sculptural Geometry Lamps The Polyshape Lamps Turn Geometry into Light with Bold Sculptural Forms By Amy Duong | Published 2025-10-12 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape-lamp References: [cassina](https://www.cassina.com/ww/en/contemporanei/ferreol-babin.html) The Polyshape Lamps by Ferréol Babin for [Cassina](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/polyshape) translate [sculptural geometry](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sukun-lamp) into luminous form. The series features a floor and a table version, each built from three distinct volumes: a cylinder, a stem, and a flattened disc, that interlock to create balance and tension. The result is a composition that feels simultaneously engineered and poetic, highlighting how geometry can guide both light and emotion. Glossy finishes in blue, red, green, and anthracite emphasize the lamps’ architectural precision while reflecting the surrounding space. Each model directs light differently: the floor lamp emits an upward glow for ambient radiance, while the table version casts a focused pool of illumination for reading or reflection. Integrated dimming technology refines the experience, allowing subtle shifts in atmosphere. Through these elements, Polyshape demonstrates how pure geometry can transcend abstraction to become [functional, sensory design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dollight-series).
