A polyphonic tuner is basically an advanced tuning device that is able to listen to an entire fret board all at once, and show which of the six different strings are flat or out of tune. The 'PolyTune Clip' is especially unique because it's the first guitar tuner on the market that is both polyphonic and also easily [clips onto a guitar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/profile-wireless) without having to worry about any other connections. The 'PolyTune Clip' uses LCD lights to show each note that it has measured and also works for any number of [musical string instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/phase8). The guitar tuner can also automatically turn into a 'chromatic' tuner that will also precisely measure just one string at any given time. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.6/10 - Popularity: 67% | Activity: 94% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/gadgets) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Polyphonic Tuners:** Opportunity to develop more advanced and accurate tuning devices for musical instruments. - **Clip-on Accessories:** Potential for creating innovative clip-on devices for different applications and industries. - **Automatic Instrument Tuning:** Disruptive potential for creating automated systems that can quickly and accurately tune musical instruments. ### Where This Applies - **Music Instrument Manufacturing:** Opportunity for guitar and musical instrument manufacturers to integrate polyphonic tuners into their products. - **Consumer Electronics:** Potential for consumer electronics companies to develop clip-on devices for various applications, beyond just musical instruments. - **Music Education:** Disruptive potential for developing automated instrument tuning systems to enhance music education and practice. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Digitized Guitar Learning Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/digital-guitar-tutor.md) - [Digitized Guitar Whammy Bars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/guitar-whammy-bar.md) - [Electronic String Instruments](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/harmoni.md) - [Trumpet Tuning Tools](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/trumpet-tuner.md) - [Button-Activated Guitar Devices](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rockdreamer-guitarbar.md) - [Eclectic Electro-Acoustic Guitar](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electroacoustic-guitar.md) - [Multifunctional Music Gadgets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chorda.md) - [Quirky Strummable Synths](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/electronic-synth.md) - [Customizable Guitar Pickups](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/customizable-guitar-pickups.md)
