Local design studio [Space Projects](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bd-house) creates a new store location which will also function as a shop and office headquarters for the homeware brand Polspotten. It is located in Amsterdam and the location is defined by a [curved thatched hut](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/a-house-within-a-few-lines) that has been accented with terracotta-tonal tiles.

Founder of Space Projects, Pepijn Smit tells Dezeen, "The [terracotta-inspired colours and materials](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/earthenware-house) refer to the brand's first product, 'potten' – or pots." These were a reference to the first Spanish pots that were imported by Erik Pol when he first founded the brand in 1986. Smit continues, "The thatch, as a natural material, absorbs sound as well. The store was inspired by Polspotten's use of traditional techniques combined with a collage of their reinterpreted archetype."
