About a month ago, Christian released the video “Obama Man Saves Sarah Palin” in a clever attempt to increase sales of his Obama boxers which feature a stylized image of Barack on the front. “Obama Man," as you may have guessed, is a boxer brief-clad superhero who wears the American flag as his cape. The crime fighter comes to Sarah Palin’s aid when she’s being molested by a perv. But, the superhero in question here, come to think of it, is no different from other popular and iconic crime fighters such as [Batman or Superman](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/superman-collection) in the sense that all they wear is a cape and some (I bet) [rather funky underwear](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/underaware). Meanwhile, the low-cut boxer briefs which were featured in Trend Hunter a few months ago, come in different colors and are made of 100% cotton. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.0/10 - Popularity: 26% | Activity: 85% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 70% men, 30% women - Primary generations: Millennial - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Marketing](https://www.trendhunter.com/marketing) > [Publicity Stunts](https://www.trendhunter.com/publicitystunts) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Political Superhero Clothes:** Opportunities to create superhero-themed clothing featuring political figures, appealing to people's political beliefs. - **Video Marketing for Fashion Brands:** Opportunities for brands to create clever and humorous videos as a part of their marketing strategy. - **Cultural Mashup:** Opportunities to merge political and pop culture icons or storylines. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Fashion:** Fashion industry can merge political icons and themes into clothing; Companies can create viral marketing campaigns for clothing, including videos. - **Political Campaigns:** Alternative way to build political candidates brand, specially during National Elections. - **Film and Entertainment Industry:** Opportunities to create movies or videos based on Mashup characters like political superheroes. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Superhero Snack Campaigns](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/black-ghost-chilli-chicken-wings.md) - [Superhero Nutritional Supplements](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/myprotein-captain-america.md) - [Testicular Cancer Awareness Boxers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/testicular-cancer-awareness-boxers.md) - [Classic Superhero-Inspired Donuts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/krispy-kreme-hungry-for-heroes.md) - [Comic Book Character Cereals](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/dc-strong-berry-capn-crunch.md) - [Superhero-Inspired Pet Capsules](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/warner-bros-1.md) - [Superhero Cookie Flavors](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/keebler-strong-berry-fudge-stripes-cookies.md) - [Superhero-Inspired Protein Powders](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/gnc-pro-performance-100-whey-protein.md) - [3D Contouring Boxers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/manmades-the-boxer-brief.md)
