Inspired by being in a neighborhood with structures that have different architectural expressions, the house is extremely modest and down to earth. The single family home overlooks the Fjord and the city of Trondheim. The overall structure of the two story house is geometric and angular, so as to enhance the [panoramic views of the hill](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-cloud-house) below. The house stands out modestly through its angular structure and minimalist design. The minimalist design is also seen from the interiors with wooden beams and pillars that support the inner structure, the wide expansive spaces coupled with large window panels that layer the white walls. The increased interior spaces that are fitted with wooden accents provide a level of comfort and serenity. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.9/10 - Popularity: 54% | Activity: 26% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Modest Architecture:** Opportunity for architects and designers to create simple and humble structures that prioritize functionality and blend seamlessly with their surroundings. - **Minimalist Design:** Opportunity for interior designers to create clean and clutter-free spaces that promote simplicity, serenity, and a sense of calm. - **Panoramic Views:** Opportunity for real estate developers to capitalize on properties that offer breathtaking panoramic views, enhancing the overall living experience for homeowners. ### Where This Applies - **Architecture:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to shift focus towards modest and functional architectural designs that harmoniously blend with the environment rather than stand out. - **Interior Design:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to embrace minimalist design principles to create spaces that prioritize simplicity, calmness, and comfort, revolutionizing the concept of interior aesthetics. - **Real Estate Development:** Disruptive innovation opportunity to recognize the value of properties with panoramic views, offering homeowners an unparalleled living experience with stunning natural surroundings. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimal Japanese Home Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-in-kyobate.md) - [Contemporary Countryside Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/contemporary-countryside-home.md) - [Serene Timeless Minimal Residences](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/house-hkarn.md) - [Japanese Minimalism Portland Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mori-house.md) - [Refined Modern Dwellings](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/silver-house.md) - [Serene Heartwarming Villa Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/villa-minimale.md) - [Lofty Minimalist Living Spaces](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/minimalist-living-space1.md) - [Compact White-Painted Modern Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/whitepainted-modern-home.md) - [Monolithic Sleek Summer Homes](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vollerup-atrium.md)
