# Police Supercars Italy's Polizia Get 560 HP Lamborghini By Elsa Blaine | Published 2008-11-12 | Autos Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/police-supercars-italys-polizia-get-560-hp-lamgorghini References: [brandinfection](http://www.brandinfection.com/2008/10/25/italys-fastest-police-car-lamborghini-gallardo/#more-702) & [zercustoms](http://www.zercustoms.com/news/Lamborghini-Gallardo-Polizia.html) The Italian police should have no problem nabbing felons in their new Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4. The car is a rocket, with 560 horsepower and the ability to reach speeds of 203 MPH. The Lamborghini Gallardo Polizia has all the gadgets a speed-obsessed cop requires; high-tech video system, cool flashing blue lights, gun holster and a fridge for transporting donor organs...fast. 30 privileged officers will receive training to drive the powerful Lamborghinis, and I bet they are thanking their lucky stars they chose law enforcement as a career. The iconic sportscar manufacturer donated the car, which is their newest design, to the Polizia to replace an older version the Italian State Police force had been driving since 2004. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 4.9/10 - Popularity: 44% | Activity: 94% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 90% men, 10% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe, Asia ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Autos](https://www.trendhunter.com/autos) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **High-speed Pursuit Vehicles:** The development and adoption of high-performance vehicles specifically designed for law enforcement purposes present opportunities for the improvement of police capabilities in chasing criminals. - **Advanced Law Enforcement Technology:** The integration of high-tech features, such as video systems and specialized equipment, into police vehicles enables law enforcement agencies to enhance their effectiveness in maintaining public safety and conducting operations. - **Corporate Partnership in Law Enforcement:** Collaborations between private companies, like Lamborghini's donation to the Italian Polizia, in providing specialized vehicles and resources to law enforcement agencies offer potential avenues for disruptive innovation and improved efficiency. ### Who This Affects Most - **Automotive:** The automotive industry can explore opportunities in producing high-performance vehicles tailored to the needs of law enforcement, incorporating advanced technology and features to enhance police operations. - **Security and Surveillance:** The security and surveillance industry can leverage its expertise in developing cutting-edge video systems and other technologies for integration into police vehicles, enabling law enforcement to gather vital evidence and enhance situational awareness. - **Public-private Partnerships:** Various industries, including automotive, technology, and philanthropy, can explore partnerships with law enforcement agencies to contribute resources, expertise, and specialized equipment, fostering disruptive innovation in policing practices. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Italian V12 Supercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/revuelto.md) - [Ultra-Fast Hybrid Hypercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/fenomeno.md) - [Luxury Italian PHEVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/2025-lamborghini-urus-se-plugin-hybrid.md) - [Powerful Italian SUVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ferrari-purosangue.md) - [High-End Automobile Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/prestige-imports.md) - [Luxury Italian Supercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/utopia-roadster.md) - [Entry-Level V10-Equipped Supercars](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lamborghini-huracn-tecnica.md) - [Carbon Fiber Supercar Motorcycles](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ducati-panigale-v4-lamborghini.md) - [Drone-Equipped Security SUVs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-ghiath-smart-patrol.md)
