Designed to comment on the relationship between nature and technology, the Poilu Vases are made to look like they can grow hair.

The idea to incorporate [hair into the 3D printing process](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/haibu) started as a simple idea to bring more [texture and tactility](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/texture-ware) into the world of ceramics. Studio Bold, the designers behind the vases, aimed to draw parallels between the digital and natural world, resulting in a series of [beautifully organic-looking but artificial sculptures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/alien-vases). To achieve the final result, the design house created a code made up of "coordinates between the logic mathematics to the logic generated by nature.” Vegetable-based fibers like bamboo, coconut and wood helped the vases achieve the appearance of "hair," which, is simultaneously a delight to look at and confusing to the senses.
