When you click on the app, a [song from your iTunes library](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/chart-your-music) gets chosen and the rude little hipster trashes it. The hipster then [suggests a different song](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/play-nice) and lets you listen to a clip which is available to buy on iTunes. If you want a snuffy hipster to trash your taste in music (though I don't know who would), you can buy the Pocket Hipster app for $3 in the iTunes store. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.1/10 - Popularity: 78% | Activity: 68% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America, Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Tech](https://www.trendhunter.com/tech) > [Mobile](https://www.trendhunter.com/mobile) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Mocking Apps:** Opportunities for developing apps that mock people's preferences or habits to provide entertainment. - **Niche Entertainment Apps:** Creating entertainment apps that appeal to a specific niche audience and offer unique experiences. - **Anti-mainstream Apps:** Developing apps that go against mainstream preferences and provide niche content and experiences. ### Who This Affects Most - **Entertainment:** Opportunities for creating niche entertainment apps that offer unique experiences. - **Music:** Creating apps that provide unique ways to discover and listen to music. - **Mobile App Development:** Opportunities for developing apps that utilize humor and satire to provide entertainment. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Music Mashups Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/mashapp-music.md) - [Retro Music Players](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/classipod.md) - [Nostalgic Music Discovery Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nostalgic-music-discovery-app.md) - [Sound Transforming Mobile Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/outsidify.md) - [Jazzy Play-Along Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/playalong-app.md) - [Poster-Inspired Music Playlists](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/lineupsupply.md) - [Engaging Rap Trivia Games](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rap-trivia.md) - [Music Investment Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/music-investment.md) - [Nostalgic Web Browser Apps](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/ipod-social.md)
