The desk is characterized by its [rounded desktop](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/arnardo-desk), which is supported by a series of tubular legs to give it a softer appearance from afar. The desk is virtually devoid of [storage space like drawers or cabinets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/otis-hanger-30) and instead utilizes a pocket-style section to keep a few things stowed, but still clearly in view. Designed by Joao Teixeira, the 'Pocket' desk maintains a [minimalist design](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wool-felt-studio-pad) that actually embraces the items we keep available on our workstations and encourages the person to continually be mindful of what's around. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 5.2/10 - Popularity: 86% | Activity: 59% | Freshness: 12% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/furniture) ## Key Themes ### What Makes This Trend Stand Out - **Minimalist Workstations:** Designing workstations that embrace minimalism and provide only the necessary functions and spaces to promote productivity. - **Pocket-style Storage:** Incorporating pocket-style storage sections into workstations to keep necessary items stowed but still clearly in view and close at hand. - **Softened Aesthetics:** Creating workstations with softer aesthetics by using rounded edges or tubular legs, promoting a comfortable everyday experience. ### Sectors Adopting This - **Furniture:** Furniture designers and manufacturers can create innovative workstations that take advantage of the minimalist and pocket storage trends. - **Office Supplies and Equipment:** Companies that specialize in office supplies and equipment can create product lines that include pocket-style storage sections to help workers stay organized. - **Home Goods:** Companies that specialize in home goods can create attractive and comfortable workstations that blend into living spaces and take advantage of the softened aesthetics trend. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Storage-Paired Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/diag-desk.md) - [Single-Piece Construction Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/nook-desk.md) - [Sleek Storage-Packed Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/threesix-desk.md) - [Fold-Away Sleek Workstations](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/flip-desk.md) - [Knick-Knack Storage Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spiky-desk-concept.md) - [Charming Timber Workstation Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/adudu-desk.md) - [Modular Fold-Out Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/foldable-wooden-workstation.md) - [Minimalist Clutter-Free Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/parallel-work-table.md) - [Minimalist Demure Designer Desks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/backup-desk.md)
