# Minimalist Corded Trays Pocket by Margaux Beja Conceals and Reveals Objects at Once By Meghan Young | Published 2013-11-22 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-by-margaux-beja References: [design-milk](http://design-milk.com/pocket-storage-tray-margaux-beja/) & [margauxbeja](http://www.margauxbeja.com/design_dm0.php) Pocket by Margaux Beja, an interior architect and designer based in Paris, France both conceals and reveals at the very same time, a quality that is particularly useful, not to mention aesthetically pleasing. Granted, it doesn't completely obscure objects, it simply provides a bit of a screen that separates one end from the other. Essentially a tray, Pocket by Margaux Beja is made out of solid oak. The 'screen' is made out of colored cord, which allows it to serve another purpose. People can slip paper, tablets and more between the cords to prop them up for convenience. Great for phones, keys, pencils and other knickknacks, Pocket by Margaux Beja is a great accent piece for the home. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.6/10 - Popularity: 34% | Activity: 6% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### Key Themes Behind This Trend - **Minimalist Corded Trays:** Minimalist corded trays offer a versatile way to conceal and reveal objects, creating a unique aesthetic. ### Where This Applies - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can utilize minimalist corded trays to create innovative and functional spaces. - **Home Decor:** The home decor industry can incorporate minimalist corded trays as accent pieces that enhance organization and convenience. - **Furniture Design:** Furniture designers can explore the use of corded trays to create multifunctional and visually striking furniture pieces. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Minimalist Book Storage Tables](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pocket-coffee-table.md) - [Modular Wooden Desk Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/track-concept.md) - [Cozy Storage-Focused Furniture](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-pocket-chair.md) - [Minimal Storage Tray Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/spiral-tray.md) - [Undulating Desktop Valet Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wav-minimal-desk-organizer.md) - [Precise Valet Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/valet-tray.md) - [Tech-Friendly Organization Trays](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/sousshelf.md) - [Minimalist Modular Desk Designs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/console-desk.md) - [Knitted Phone Pockets](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/iphone-pocket.md)
