This planter will make gardening effortless for you as it is [self-watering](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/posha), self-feeding and soilless. How? It's powered by a [hidden top-feed hydroponics system](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/aerospring-pinch-hydroponic-system), which delivers water and nutrients directly to the roots of up to three different plants. Some plants you could enjoy year-round include basil, mint, lettuce, chives, cucumbers, peppers and tomatoes. The only thing the company recommends you do for fast organic growth is to place the planter in a window with plenty of sunlight with access to a plug. The self-growing pots also have a beautiful aesthetic; they come in rectangular box-shapes of weathered gray wood, reclaimed wood, gloss white and chalkboard. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 2.3/10 - Popularity: 39% | Activity: 22% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: North America ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Lifestyle](https://www.trendhunter.com/lifestyle) > [Food](https://www.trendhunter.com/food) ## Key Themes ### Why This Trend Is Growing - **Self-watering Planters:** Self-watering planters with hydroponic systems for indoor gardening ### Industries Being Reshaped - **Home and Garden:** Innovative hydroponic planters for urban dwellers and apartment residents ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Self-Watering Smart Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/the-leafypod.md) - [Water-Powered Planter Smart Lights](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/planto.md) - [Smart Self-Watering Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tendril-1.md) - [Chic Self-Watering Garden Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/glowpear-mini-bench.md) - [Updated Indoor Gardening Solutions](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/indoor-gardening-solutions.md) - [Mini Mess-Free Garden Units](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroponics-garden.md) - [Self-Sustaining Indoor Gardens](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/automated-hydroponic-indoor-garden.md) - [Compact Countertop Hydroponic Planters](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/hydroponic-indoor-garden.md) - [Uniquely Shaped Self-Watering Pots](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/self-watering-plant-house.md)
