# Ascending Newspaper Storage Plisado Storage Rack is an Adapted Ladder for an Efficient Footprint By Amelia Roblin | Published 2013-05-14 | Art & Design Source: Trend Hunter, https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plisado-storage-rack References: [leibal](http://leibal.com/furniture/plisado/) & [notedesignstudio.se](http://notedesignstudio.se/note/plisado/) You can stash quite a bit inside of the Plisado Storage Rack, despite the tiny area that it assumes. The product is tall and thin and can be simply leaned against a wall and filled with a number of different items. Karl Andersson & Söner created the piece for Note Design, beginning with the structure of a ladder in its most basic form. Beautiful light wood was used to construct the seven-rung ascender, which was then fitted with draped fabric to produce a series of six pockets. The Pleated (Plisado) Storage Rack would be great in front foyers, family rooms and bedrooms. It functions as a shoe rack, a magazine rack and can effectively organize outdoor accessories and even bits of laundry. ## Trend Insights (Trend Hunter) - Score: 1.0/10 - Popularity: 21% | Activity: 1% | Freshness: 8% - Audience gender: 50% men, 50% women - Primary generations: Gen Z, Gen Alpha, Millennial, Gen X - Top markets: Europe ## Categories [Trend Hunter](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends) > [Art & Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/artdesign) > [Design](https://www.trendhunter.com/design) ## Key Themes ### What's Driving This Trend - **Vertical Storage Solutions:** The Plisado Storage Rack exemplifies the opportunity for vertical storage solutions that are space-saving and multi-functional. - **Adapted Household Items:** The Plisado Storage Rack identifies the potential for transforming traditional household items into unique and practical adapted solutions. - **Lightweight Home Decor:** Karl Andersson & Söner's use of light wood material in the Plisado Storage Rack illustrates the trend for minimalist and lightweight home decor. ### Who This Affects Most - **Furniture:** The furniture industry can explore the demand for versatile storage solutions like the Plisado Storage Rack. - **Home Goods:** The home goods industry can investigate the potential for adapting common household items, such as a ladder, into innovative and functional storage solutions. - **Interior Design:** The interior design industry can embrace the trend towards minimalist and lightweight decor through products such as the Plisado Storage Rack. ## Related on Trend Hunter - [Folding Steel Shelving Systems](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/pli-steel-wall-shelf.md) - [Open-Concept Clothing Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/bauhutte-clothes-hanger-rack.md) - [Folded Vibrant Furniture Series](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plec-collection.md) - [Tubular Literature Storage Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/interspace-magazine-rack.md) - [Storage-Equipped Restaurant Chairs](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/rack-chair.md) - [Single-Piece Wooden Magazine Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/skola.md) - [Tripod-Like Garment Racks](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/multifunctional-coat-rack.md) - [Minimal Shoe Rack Concepts](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/tokyo-shoe-rack.md) - [Pleated Textile Dividers](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/plissade.md)
