In his latest installation in New York at the [Galerie Lelong](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/vintage-homeware-shop), Spanish artist and sculptor Jaume Plensa has created Talking Continents, composed of 19 [stainless steel structures](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/water-sculpture-lj) that were made from letters from nine different countries.

The [Barcelona](https://www.trendhunter.com/trends/victoria-alberts-barcelona-collection)-born artist is mostly known for his towering sculptures displayed in public spaces. In Talking Continents, he creates an intricate series of steel sculptures that are suspended mid-air by invisible cable cords. This latest exhibition displays a more minimalist side to Plensa's usual aesthetic. The result is the celestial weightlessness of the installations, creating a sense of zen and peace in the gallery space.

According to Plensa, these structures represent humanity and the world as a whole, combining languages from all over the world to create human like figures, all in the name of global unity.
